OK, if you’re squeamish, just quit reading now. Take your dog for a walk, wash your hair, pretend you have a headache or whatever.
Those of you who are still here, I’m about to tell you something that might be against my better judgment. I decided to try cloth pads. I was inspired by the Slapdash Sewist a while back, and am finally being brave enough to give it a try. I thought they might be good for sleeping in, since for some reason real pads at night just bug the crap outta me, (hello wadding, leaking, and hair pulling!) and I’m not brave enough to use anything else while I’m sleeping. I know, I’m weird. So anyway, I stitched up a couple of them tonight (they’re in the dryer right now) and if you’re interested, check back tomorrow and I’ll let you know how I like them.
Mine are made of two pieces of cotton flannel, some natural cotton quilt batting leftover from my son’s quilt, and snaps–everything was from stash, so I didn’t buy anything new to try this little project. I figured if I didn’t like them it would be better that way–less guilt and all.
