SWAP storyboard-like things

I’m not going to lie to you. I’ll probably never do these again. I mean, sure, it was cool to learn a new technique to add to my technological geekiness, but this was a bit of a hassle. There are still two Burda JJ blouses that I didn’t know what fabric I was going to use, so they don’t have a storyboard yet.

Note: Below is a slideshow, not a picture. I’m not sure if you can speed it up/slow it down or whatever, since I’ve never used it. Hopefully it won’t make this post take an eternity to load.

What do you think? I think the end results will work pretty well together and be a useful addition to my closet. 🙂

  1. I could sit here mezmerized by that slide show for a while. I love how it slides between colours so it feels like a collection. Although I rarely wear pin stripe pants, I think that’s the one I’m most looking forward to seeing. Hmm, or maybe the polo shirts, I’m a sucker for both of those colours.

    • Thanks, LOL! Hopefully that means that it seems like a cohesive plan. I fell in love with the fabric in the store because it had a non- traditional color for the pinstripes. I mean, how often do you see red pinstripe fabric?

  2. That pinstripe will be neat! I’d wear my pinstripe pants more but they’re wool and I’m a little terrified of getting them dirty. Hmph. I think I’m going to wear them tomorrow, just because. 😉

It looks good! SWAP sewing always seems like such a good idea…

  3. I am very impressed by your story boards! I wouldn’t know where to begin making something like that. I like all your pattern/fabric choices. When you are done you will have a lovely and practical wardrobe. Fingers crossed you can actually get it done, lol! (If your life is like mine, life tends to get in the way of the best laid plans!)

  4. Great fabrics and colors. All of the patterns are very versatile too, which is perfect for the winter. I’m looking forward to seeing everything.

I looked into the SWAP as you suggested. It’s such a great idea and I was really tempted to try it but then got intimidated by the amount of clothes. I’m not a sewer-on-a-schedule type, so maybe that’s why it was intimidating. Anyways, I’ll live vicariously through you and maybe pick up a SWAP another time

    Good luck!
