House Projects

Projects we’re currently working on, as well as future projects/ideas we are planning/considering. 🙂

Already Finished (will just draw a line through them from now on):

• Replace front door (Style=Madrid, I think by Jeld-Wen)
• Paint front door (Sherwin Williams “Tempe Teal”)
• Remove bathroom wallpaper
• Remove master bedroom wallpaper (2 layers–Ugh!)
• Scrape paint from trim
• Strip finish off of kitchen table
• Paint master bedroom
• Replace contact paper in kitchen cabinets
• Paint back door (Sherwin Williams “Tempe Teal” Interior color is SW “Warm Buff”)
• Paint sewing room (Sherwin Williams “Fairhaven Gray” & “Headline Blues”)

Current:

• Trim (Paint color Blue Haze by Sherman-Williams, we thought it was a fail, but we changed primer from a tinted to a white, and we’re going to go with it. :-))
• Window Replacement (Anderson windows)
• Caulking (Solar Seal)
• Back Door
• Kitchen Table Restoration
• Replacing Mini-Blinds–current idea is to use privacy film, since we like to be able to look out.
• Wallpaper Removal–currently on hold.

Future Projects:

• Paint Basement Family Room
• Move Staircase
• Redo Countertops (Kitchen and baths)
• Demolish basement bathroom walls and rework doors
• Tile basement bath (surround and floor)
• Build custom entertainment center in basement
• Restore hardwood cabinets
• Tile main floor bath (surround and floor)
• Build Kitchen Island
• Install Dishwasher
• Insulate garage and garden shed
• Replace garage door–Not needed–we made some adjustments and oiled it up–now it’s like new! 🙂
• Remove old tile/stain basement floor
• Purchase area rugs for basement
• Grade the yard
• Install sprinkler system
• Plant grass seed
• Install gas line for grill
• Paint Kitchen (Valspar “Montpelier Red Velvet”….I think)

Whew! That sounds like a lot of work, hopefully we can get it all done! We don’t have any specific order, or any particular time frame for the work to be done, it’s just kind of a “do it as we get the money saved up” kind of deal.
