As most of you probably know, yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday for those of us here in the U.S. It’s quite a big deal for some reason, even to those of us who aren’t football fans. In fact, I can’t stand to watch football, and I threw a party! How screwed up is that?! I used to say that I liked the commercials, but they’ve gotten decidedly lousy the last few years. 😦
Did you know that you can fit 9 people and a table into a 12 x 12 kitchen and instead of feeling cramped it was just kind of cozy? You can. Did you know that you can cook a 4.5 lb brisket and still have around a third of it left after 9 people eat on it? I think that has to be the most economical piece of meat I’ve ever bought! 😯 Well, it didn’t hurt that we also had chips, baked beans, pigs in a blanket, pretzels, soda, cookies, candy, a pumpkin roll, and some peach crisp. 😉
We had a pretty good turnout last night, and I think everyone had a good time–especially my son who ran around like a chicken with his head cut off for at least 30 minutes after everyone got there. 🙄 He’s such a goofball like that. 😆 So yeah, first ever Super Bowl party? Success. 😀 Even better? At the end of the night, there was basically no mess, because everyone picked up after themselves–AWESOME!!!!
